Parks and Co. much too good for Indonesia in smashing Gilas debut in Seaba

THE Philippines outclassed Indonesia, 92-36, on Monday to open its campaign in the 11th Southeast Asian Basketball Association (Seaba) Basketball Championship in Singapore.

The Gilas cadet zoomed to a 26-7 lead at the end of the first period and never looked back in a smashing debut under acting coach Nash Racela in this tournament serving as the qualifier for the Fiba Asia Championship.

Bobby Ray Parks led all scorers with 15 points for the Philippines, which didn't have head coach Tab Baldwin on the bench as he winds up Talk 'N Text's campaign in the PBA Commissioner's Cup finals.

Almond Vosotros fired 13 points while Kiefer Ravena added 11 and Jiovani Jalalon chipped in 10 for the Gilas cadets, who only fielded naturalized player Marcus Douthit for 11 minutes.
