Spiker Amanda Villanueva, celebs Bianca Umali, Daiana Menezes add glitz to D-League opening

SHOWBIZ personalities Bianca Umali and Daiana Menezes and volleyball player Amanda Villanueva led the cast of muses in the opening ceremony of the eighth season of the PBA D-League at the Ynares Sports Arena on Thursday.

Umali, one of GMA’s teen stars, represented AMA Online Education during the simple opening rites where she partnered with another Kapuso personality in Titans cager Andre Paras.

Menezes was the muse of Go For Gold-College of Saint Benilde while Villanueva, a former player of the Adamson Lady Falcons, represented her alma mater, which is carrying the colors of Akari in the D-League.

Incidentally, Villanueva is also Akari’s assistant marketing head.

Also adding glitz to the opening ceremony were Ms. Centro Escolar University 2017 Patricia Nicole Genato (CEU), Beatriz Escudero and Katrina Batoon (Marinerong Pilipino), Ms. LPU runner-up and Bb. Niyogyugan 2017 Ashanti Ervas (Zark’s Lyceum), Maria Isabel Alves (Wang’s-Letran), and Martha Nicole Bibal (Che’Lu Bar and Grill-San Sebastian).

Patricia Louise De Leon (Perpetual Help), Johanna Manansala (Gamboa Coffee Mix-St. Clare), and Catherine Loanzon (Mila’s Lechon) also took part in the opening ceremony as muses for their respective teams.
