Ateneo teams sweep Small Basketeers and Passerelle titles in Best Center Davao meet
Ateneo de Davao teams win the two title matches against Holy Child College.

DAVAO CITY — Ateneo de Davao scored a championship double over archnemesis Holy Child College of Davao in the 2015 Milo Best Center Sports-Davao City Eliminations recently at the Philippine Womens College covered court.

The Blue Knights took the Mini and Passerelle crowns over the Reds in contrasting fashion.

The Mini Blue Knights took the division crown over the Reds, 67-23, for their first back-to-back titles since 2013.

Under coaches Ramon Pido and Frankie Argoncillo, the Blue Knights took a 2-24 lead at the start of the first canto and never looked back for the win.

Playmaker Aaron Amaneo brought home the Mini Division MVP crown for the second time.

Other members of the team are Kirk Uy, Ethan Liston, Francis Aliviado, Onin Miguel Develos, Joseph Estinozo, Richie Ruales, Giero Velasquez, Joaquin Battad, Justin Cruz, Uno Salvador, Nathan Oribello, Tristan Coquilla, Christian Blanco and Rochie Amoguis.

The Ateneo Passerelle team edged the Reds 82-79, exacting revenge after the Blue Knights lost in last year's city eliminations.

Reds swingman Joshua Reyes bagged the year's MVP plum.

The two Ateneo squads will compete in the Milo Best Center Sports Regional Eliminations set October 24 and 25 at the Davao City Recreation Center.
