THIRDY Ravena had 10 points while CJ Perez added eight points and eight rebounds in his Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup debut as Ateneo beat Letran, 66-53, on Thursday afternoon.

The Blue Eagles proved sharp enough to outclass the reigning NCAA champions despite coming out of a 20-day break in the tournament, improving to 2-1 (win-loss) overall.

“They weren’t that out of shape. That means before we took a break, they are in good shape. That’s why we are also happy with the win because we had a long break,” said Ateneo assistant coach Sandy Arespacochaga.

Rey Nambatac had 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Knights, who dropped to 2-3.
