Rivero's double-double, Caracut's clutch baskets help Archers overcome Maroons in overtime

ROOKIE Andrei Caracut took a share of the spotlight once again, scoring 15 points including huge late baskets, as La Salle defeated University of the Philippines in overtime, 82-79, on Friday in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup.

Prince Rivero had huge double-double of 25 points and 18 rebounds as the Green Archers improved their win-loss record to 2-1.

Caracut scored what turned out to be the clincher, hitting a jumper to make it 81-78 with 23.2 seconds to play in the extra period.

The former San Beda high school star also hit a triple to tie the game in regulation, 70-70, and made one free throw in the dying seconds to send the game into overtime, 72-72.
