Adamson Baby Falcons bag maiden title in BEST Center SBP-Passerelle Twin Tournament

BAGUIO CITY — Adamson ruled the Passerelle division for the first time after beating Ateneo De Davao, 71-64, on Sunday in the 2015 BEST Center SBP-Passerelle Twin Tournament sponsored by MILO at the Easter College Gym.

Rence Padrigao, one of three members of the Baby Falcons’ UAAP team, finished with 16 points to spark the squad's comeback in the second quarter after a slow start to the game.

Adam Doria and Gerry Austin Abadiano added 11 points each for the Baby Falcons, who went unbeaten in their four games in the tournament.

The Baby Falcons, who routed Ateneo de Davao, 48-90, in the preliminaries, trailed 11-20 in the first period before Padrigao took over in the second quarter where the team was all but reduced to four players with Carl Tamayo hobbling with an injured ankle.

Padrigao scored six more points in the final quarter when the Tom Chua-coached Baby Falcons put the final touches to the victory.
