Philippine youth squad, Freego win titles in 3x3 age-group basketball tournament

THE Philippine Youth squad of Ryan Amsali, Gab Casio Fortuna, Clint Escamis and Shan Exequiel Vesagas, coached by Mark Herrera, downed Team Knights of San Beda Alabang to take the Under-15 title in the Milcu Got Skills 3x3 age-group basketball tournament recently at the AMA gym in Quezon City.

Six-foot-5 Carl Tamayo led the way, while Gerry Abadiano, Paolo Cataga, and Sczach Villalon also delivered as Freego won the Under-14 title over Ball Troopers from La Salle Greenhills.

Adamson and Chiang Kai Shek College players EJ Agbong, Joshua Ramirez, Robert Minerva and Jan Natividad suited up as Freego and beat International School of Better Beginning of Lucena for the Under-16 title. The Freego teams were coached by Tom Chua and John Sia.

Ricci Rivero, AJ Madrigal, Bryeo Bunyi, and Rodney Manuel led Hoop City of LSGH to the under-17 title over AMA Junior Titans.

More than 100 players from 32 teams competed in the four age-groups. Allen Ricardo was the tournament director and Ruel Acot the commissioner.
