COACH TY Tang is a firm believer that College of St. Benilde will soon earn a victory on the court in the NCAA Season 93.

That is if the Blazers continue to play the same way they did against Letran last Thursday.

They'll have the perfect opportunity to grab that first win outside of technicalities when they play the Mapua Cardinals in a battle of cellar dwellers on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Arena.

Game time is at 4 p.m. and will immediately follow the clash between Emilio Aguinaldo College (2-2) and Arellano University (2-3), which is set at 2 p.m.

Both teams are toting 1-4 records and are currently sitting at the bottom of the standings.

Though the Blazers dropped a 78-92 loss at the hands of the hosting Knights on Thursday, Tang at least saw the fight which was missing when they got dealt a 43-point beating at the hands of the Lyceum Pirates last Tuesday.

The young CSB coach believes that Blazers  could be on their way to breaking that spell at the expense of the sliding Cardinals, who are also in the midst of a three-game slide.

"I think we are knocking on the doors. As long as we play the way we played [against Letran], for sure yun, we will be able to knock one down," said Tang.

"Lumaban kami and that's what we want from the boys, to play with a lot of pride. When we are representing the school, we want them to play to win the game. If not, to give our best for our school," he added.

The Cardinals, meanwhile, will have to find help for guard Andoy Estrella who basically did it all in their 66-75 loss to the Stags.

The stocky veteran guard finished with 27 points, six rebounds and four assists in the loss while no other Cardinal breached double digits in the loss.
