JOSE Rizal University coach Vergel Meneses liked what he saw from Teytey Teodoro after the Heavy Bombers captured their first win in NCAA Season 93.

Teodoro led the way for the Heavy Bombers, scoring 26 points, seven rebounds, and three assists to lift his team to a 68-54 win over Perpetual Help.

Teodoro said he felt disappointed with his play after the Heavy Bombers lost to Lyceum, 96-75, on Tuesday after scoring just 13 points against the Pirates.

"Nag-double effort lang ako ngayon kasi 'yung mga beterano, na-disappoint kami nung first game. Parang hindi kami beterano naglaro. Ngayon, first quarter pa lang, naging aggressive agad ako," said Teodoro.

For Meneses, it was a sight to see Teodoro play to his full potential against Perpetual Help where he played like a true veteran.

"He kept on passing the ball, he looked for mismatches, and especially, 'yung depensa. He made stops," Meneses said.

Meneses hopes to see more of Teodoro getting his teammates involved this season.

"Sinasabi ko sa kanya, everytime na ma-involve 'yung mga kasama niya, 'yung mga kasama niya nagkakaroon ng confidence," said Meneses.
