LYCEUM pulled off an upset over reigning champion Letran, 75-72, on Friday in the NCAA Season 92 seniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Pirates arrested their two-game losing skid in a big way by defeating the Knights as they improved their record to 4-5 at the end of their first round campaign.

"We're still 4-5. We still have a long way to go as much as we want to celebrate this win," said LPU coach Topex Robinson.

"There is more basketball to be played," he added.

Mike Nzeusseu had 17 points and 15 rebounds, while Reymar Caduyac also scored 17 for Lyceum in the victory.

Nzeusseu scored 10 in a pivotal third period where the Pirates were able to take a 55-47 lead entering the fourth canto.
