LYCEUM leaned on a balanced attack to thump College of Saint Benilde, 75-58, on Thursday in the NCAA Season 92 seniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

Adrian Alban led the charge for the Pirates with 21 points while Mike Nzeusseu added 15 to go with 22 rebounds as they rolled to their second consecutive win.

Lyceum coach Topex Robinson warned the Pirates not to be complacent against the Blazers, who remained winless in six outings.

“Prior to the game, I just reminded them that the standing of Benilde is not a reflection of this team. Don’t fall into that trap that they are 0-5,” said Robinson.

The Pirates led by as many as 20 points in a dominant performance that also saw them limit the Blazers to only seven points in the first quarter.

Christian Fajarito had 13 points, while Yankie Haruna added 13 points and 11 rebounds as the Blazers, who suffered their worst start since 2004 when they went 0-11.
