Gilas Pilipinas cadets slump to another defeat, this time at the hands of San Beda

SAN Beda came out firing on Sunday night, dealing the Gilas Pilipinas cadets a thorough 91-70 beating in theirĀ FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup match-up at The Arena in San Juan.

Jeramer Cabanag scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds for the reigning NCAA champions, who caught fire early and never let up to deal the Gilas cadets a third successive loss in their first tournament together.

The Red Lions, who were led by the 16 points of James Canlas, led by as many as 31 points, 78-47, in the fourth quarter on the way to their second win in three games.

High schooler Carl Tamayo led the Gilas cadets with 13 points. Kobe Paras added 11 points but made just four of 14 shots. Ricci Rivero added nine points but was 0-of-6 from three-point land.
