THE San Beda Red Lions are now reaping the rewards of their hard work.

Three days after their latest title conquest in the men’s basketball tournament, the Red Lions received a handsome bonus from chief patron Manny V. Pangilinan.

Lions star Art de la Cruz confirmed the development, saying they met with Pangilinan over lunch.

“Nagkabigayan na,” he smiled in a chat with Spin.ph. “Nagpapasalamat kami kay boss MVP for his support.”

De la Cruz refused to divulge the amount, but hinted it was in the “five digits” range.

Lions rookie guard Radge Tongco posted an Instagram picture of an envelope containing what seemed like his monetary bonus. http://instagram.com/p/uj8Grjwlro/

“It’s the most beautiful time of the year #magicenvelope #5peat,” the caption read on his photo.

Dela Cruz said he’ll put the reward in his savings bank account.

The lefty forward added they were also assured a trip to Boracay.
