SAN Beda continued its hot streak as the Red Lions overpowered the Mapua Cardinals, 85-74, on Thursday in the NCAA Season 92 seniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Red Lions claimed their seventh consecutive win.

Davon Potts led all scorers with 25 points, while Robert Bolick flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 10 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists for the Red Lions, who led by as many as 20 points.

San Beda coach Jamike Jarin once again played down the win, an impressive outing against a Final Four contender.

“Again, I will say the same thing. This doesn’t mean a thing. We still have the second round. Then, after the second round, there is the playoffs. Let’s just keep getting better,” said Jarin.

The Red Lions took command in the second period with a 29-15 burst to grab a 45-35 lead and were never seriously threatened.

AC Soberano had 17 points, while Javee Mocon had 14 points and 10 rebounds for San Beda.
