PRINCE Eze took charge as Scottie Thompson went down with an injury, helping Perpetual Help snap Emilio Aguinaldo College’s two-game winning streak, 68-55, on Tuesday in the NCAA Season 91 seniors basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

Nigerian reinforcement Prince Eze had 17 points in just 15 minutes of play, while AJ Coronel added 16 points as the Altas improved their win-loss record to 6-2 to stay within striking distance of Letran (7-1) and San Beda (6-1).

The Altas, however, had to finish the game without Thompson, who twisted his left ankle with 6:31 in game.

Thompson was carried off the court and was treated at the dugout, with Perpetual hoping it is only a mild sprain.

Still, without the reigning Most Valuable Player, the Altas beat a dangerous Generals squad that beat Letran in its previous outing.

The PBA-bound Thompson finished with four points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, and two steals before going down with the injury.

Francis Munsayac had 18 points for the Generals, who dropped to 2-6.
