Bad start for Perpetual Help as Altas show up wearing wrong jersey for game vs CSB Blazers
Perpetual faces a possible protest after wearing the wrong uniforms for its Season 93 debut against CSB. Jerome Ascano

PERPETUAL Help's NCAA Season 93 campaign started with a blunder as the Altas wore the wrong uniform for the match against College of St. Benilde on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Arena.

Instead of wearing their white jerseys, being the designated light team in the match, the Altas suited up in maroon.

The Blazers stayed put and wore their green jersey and Perpetual was penalized with a single foul shot before the match started.

But the repercussions could be more than that as the Blazers could pursue a protest this match.

There have been plenty of incidents in the past regarding wrong uniforms, coincidentally most of which involves the Blazers.

Two years ago, their Juniors counterpart La Salle Greenhills were forced to forfeit their match against Letran after several players wore the wrong jersey numbers.

NCAA Commissioner Bai Cristobal said that the board is still talking about the possible sanctions though nothing is final as of the moment.

"As far as protests, whatever the results of the game, whatever we're seeing normal muna lahat yan. May mga ground rules na pinaguusapan pa," said Cristobal.

The game is currently being played as of writing time.
