SCOTTIE Thompson had a triple-double while Bright Akhuetie got a double-double as University of Perpetual Help sustained its winning form with an 84-70 win over San Sebastian College on Friday at The Arena in San Juan.

Thompson finished with 21 points, 15 rebounds, and 14 assists, while Akhuetie added 20 points and 23 rebounds for the Altas, who regained the top spot in the  NCAA Season 91 seniors basketball tournament with a 4-0 win-loss record.

Despite the hot start, Perpetual Help coach Aric Del Rosario warned his players not to let the wins get in their heads.

“Malayo pa ‘yan,” said Del Rosario. “Marami pang games. Hindi mo pa masabi.”

“Kamukha ngayon, may 27 turnovers kami. Ibig sabihin, ang mga players, kulang pa sa experience,” Del Rosario said.

Gab Dagangon had 16 points for the Altas, who will next face fellow unbeaten side Letran (3-0) on Thursday.

Ryan Costelo had 18 points for San Sebastian, which fell to 1-2 win-loss.
