PERPETUAL Help has filed a protest on the NCAA Management Committee's decision to forfeit the Altas' opening game victory over College of Saint Benilde on Tuesday.

The protest was filed on Wednesday as Perpetual Help sought that its 69-65 win be upheld after the Altas beat the Blazers despite playing with the wrong uniform.

The Altas suited up in their dark maroon jersey instead of their designated white uniforms for their match against the Blazers.

NCAA Management Committee chairman Fr. Glyn Ortega said they are still discussing the protest, as of posting time.

A source said the Altas' white jersey has yet to be finished in time for Tuesday's match, the reason why the seniors and even the juniors team showed up in their dark uniforms for the match against the Blazers.

A source also added the Altas would have accepted the forfeiture of the match had they were instructed not to continue on with the match for having the wrong jersey.

The game, however, was still allowed to be played with Perpetual Help being penalized with a technical foul before the start of the match.

The Altas eventually won but the Blazers put the game under protest, which led to the NCAA board's decision to forfeit the win of Perpetual.
