UNHERALDED Letran player McJour Luib earned the respect of his coach following his major contributions in the Knights' victory over St. Benilde on Thursday in the NCAA Season 91 men's basketball tournament.

The fourth-year guard scored a season-high 16 points in the Knights’ 79-69 win over the Blazers at The Arena in San Juan, stepping up after star guard Rey Nambatac struggled with just five points in 32 minutes of play.

“Si McJour malaking factor siya sa amin,” said Letran coach Aldin Ayo. “He's a closer. Pagdating sa endgame, 'di 'yan nagkakamali ng decision niya.”

“Beterano siya, nandoon ang experience at ang basketball IQ napakataas,” said Ayo of the former Letran Squire, a teammate of pro-bound Mark Cruz during his junior year.

The win had Letran seizing the solo lead with an 11-2 record.
