MART Barrera of Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) has joined College of Saint Benilde in the NCAA.

BTTHS coach Dexter Dy confirmed Barrera has committed to play for the CSB Blazers.

The 6-foot-3 Barrera is one of the top high school players out of Bacolod with Tay Tung reaching the NBTC Division 2 league recently.

During that stint, the shooting guard from Tanjay, Negros Oriental was selected in the Division 2 Mythical Five and All-Star Game, catching the eye of Metro Manila schools including CSB.

“As a DLSU alumni, I will prioritize DLSU and CSB. That is why Kib Montalbo and Miggy Corteza are with DLSU and Barrera is with CSB,” said Dy.
