Mapua defeats San Sebastian to gain share of NCAA juniors lead with LSGH

MAPUA-Malayan beat San Sebastian College, 70-63, on Friday to continue its unbeaten run in the NCAA Season 93 juniors basketball division.

Carl Lacap topscored for the Red Robins with 12 points, while Clint Escamis contributed 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals.

The Red Robins are unbeaten in five games, joining La Salle Greenhills on top of the team standings.

Mapua and LSGH dispute the solo lead on Tuesday in San Juan.

The Greenies are coming off a tight 64-63 win over Letran on Thursday, its second consecutive one-point victory.

The Red Robins spoiled the effort of Staglets big man Neil Villapando, who had 12 points, 13 reboundsand four blocks.
