Red Robins move to top spot, end Squires' six-game win streak in NCAA juniors

MAPUA overcame Letran, 81-76, in overtime on Friday night in the NCAA Season 93 juniors basketball at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

Carl Bryan Lacap had 21 points, while Clint Escamis chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Red Robins, who now occupy the solo lead with an 11-2 win-loss slate.

Will Gozum had 10 points, 21 rebounds and seven blocks for the Red Robins, who snapped the Squires' six-game winning streak.

Mapua is now ahead of La Salle Greenhills, which slipped to 10-3 after a loss to San Sebastian.

Letran and San Beda are now tied at fourth with an 8-5 slate.
