Letran Knights receive Spin.ph award for Sportsmen who Succeed as One

WRITTEN off in the preseason, the Letran Knights shut up their detractors and went on to claim the NCAA crown.

Top players of the team that overcame long odds and toppled the five-time champions Lions have moved on to the pros, but the Knights holdovers joined the brightest stars of 2015 in the Spin.ph Sportsman of the Year awards night on Saturday.

The Knights received the trophy for  Sportsmen Who Succeed as One during the night for sports heroes at the Ceremonial Hall off Marriott Hotel, where Cavlin Abueva, Alyssa Valdez, Manny V. Pangilinan were also feted.

Abueva, the Alaska Aces star and member of Gilas Pilipinas, was named Sportsman of the Year for 2015.
