Letran Knights leave no stone unturned, undergoes another team-building session
The Knights are not lowering their guard after an 8-1 start to the season.

NCAA leader Letran is not about to rest on its laurels.

For the nth time, the Knights did another team building session, this time in Baguio City despite their impressive campaign in the first round of Season 91.

Head coach Aldin Ayo said the team is currently in the City of Pines to work on team camaraderie after finishing with a league-best record of 8-1 at the halfway mark of the eliminations.

The team went to Baguio on Saturday.

Ayo said he doesn’t mind having the players take a break as the trip to Baguio will also include improving the Knights' conditioning.

“Punta kami ng Baguio. Eto ‘yung adjustment namin. Kulang pa kami sa conditioning so magpapakundisyon kami sa Baguio,” said Ayo.

While having a team building session in the middle of the season is almost unheard off, Ayo is sticking to his unorthodox program which he first introduced by implementing a system anchored on a fast-paced offense and a defensive ploy which he branded as ‘organized confusion.’

“Nakakailang team building na kami. Five or six times na. Pero sabi ko sa mga bata, we keep on building our team. Hindi mawawala ‘yung lalabas kami and ‘yung sabi nga ni Fr. Vic (Calvo, Letran athletic director) na shared moments.’”

Besides, Ayo said the Knights deserve a break in the hope that the Knights will come out like a well-oiled machine once their second round campaign begins.

“I demand so much sa mga players. I make sure na what is due to the players are given. Nagtrabaho sila ng maigi, ngayon magre-relax sila sa Baguio pero kasama pa rin ‘yung conditioning.

“Hopefully, pagbalik nila, parang sinaniban na uli ‘yung mga players,” Ayo added.
