Aldin Ayo confident shots will finally fall for Knights in title decider vs Red Lions

LETRAN coach Aldin Ayo believes only a little adjustment is needed for the Knights to win the series decider against the San Beda Red Lions and claim the NCAA title.

They simply need to make their shots.

“It’s still our game,” said Ayo, noting that everything went fine for the Knights in Game Two, except the shooting. He noted Letran forced San Beda to 32 turnovers - a tribute to their defense.

“’Yun ang laro namin… We lost pero I’m very optimistic coming to Game Three kasi nandoon ’yung effort.”

Letran's first-year coach also draws confidence from the fact that the Knights kept San Beda within reach up until the final minutes even if they made just 29 percent of their shots in Game Two.

“Good looks eh.

As simple as that,” said Ayo.

The final faceoff is on Thursday, and Ayo is expecting a very tight match at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Ayo said: “Kapag pinasok mo ‘yung effort, baka wala nang maka-shoot.

The Letran coach also said they will definitely draw motivation from the community, who are expected to go all out in support of their team that has not won an NCAA title in a decade.

“Ginagawa namin ’to for Letran and for the community,” said Ayo.
