JOREM Morada clustered nine straight points late as Emilio Aguinaldo College downed Lycem, 64-57, on Sunday in the NCAA Season 92 seniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

It was a huge start for the Generals, a team that scored just two victories last season.

Morada, back with the Generals after a falling out with last year’s coaching staff, scored 14 including a triple that gave EAC a 57-53 lead. He hit the clincher, converting a stepback triple as EAC took a 10-point lead with less than a minute to play.

EAC coach Ariel Sison was at a loss for words following the big win in his first game after being elevated to the seniors squad.

"Hindi ko alam kung anong sasabihin," said Sison. "Thank you to my players. I don’t know what to say. I’m just happy. Masarap pala manalo."

Hamadou Laminou had 16 points, 13 rebounds, and three blocks for the Generals, who survived a scoring drought in the third when they scored only seven points.

Igee King, also a returnee after missing the entire Season 91, had 15 points, while Francis Munsayac added 10 for the Generals.

Wilson Baltazar scored 19 points for the Pirates, who lost Reymar Caduyac late in the contest due to an ankle injury.
