JIOVANI Jalalon felt relieved on Tuesday as the foul-plagued Arellano guard saw his teammates wrap up a 81-76 win over Lyceum in what he considered as a fitting birthday present.

Several Arellano players had big games in their tough victory over Lyceum, led by Dioncee Holts who finished with 20 points and 15 rebounds.

“Sinabi ko sa kanya na kailangan namin siya, binigay niya (lahat) para sa akin,” said a smiling Jalalon, who had a decent game with 13 points and seven assists despite playing limited minutes due to foul trouble.

Jalalon was also satisfied following the performance of his backcourt mates Kent Salado, Kraniel Villoria, and Ariel Aguilar.

Salado contributed 17 points and seven rebounds, while Villoria and Aguilar had quality minutes when they combined for four points, five rebounds, and four assists.
