SAN Miguel wingman Gary David was excited as he donned the Lyceum jersey anew to compete in the Shooting Stars contest and finally take part in the All-Star festivities of the NCAA.

David teamed up with Shaq Alanes and Mac Guadania in the Shooting Stars contest won by Jose Rizal University.

While he wasn’t able to be part of the recent PBA All-Star festivities, the 38-year-old former PBA All-Star MVP said he was thrilled to finally be part of an NCAA All-Star event as the Pirates were still under the NCRAA during his playing days with the school.

“Iba ang PBA.  Iba ang NCAA,” David said.

When he was invited to join the Lyceum team for the Shooting Stars, David said he immediately sought for clearance from Beermen management as he considered the stint another chance at giving back to his school.

Happy ako na talagang part pa rin ako ng team ng Lyceum,” said David, who'also a member of the Pirates coaching staff.

Oo naman daw,” he added.
