EVEN when the ship was sinking, Emilio Aguinaldo College captain Francis Munsayac refused to give up.

Down 15 points in the fourth period, Munsayac tried to keep his team afloat but his effort went for naught as Mapua doused EAC’s rally to come out on top, 82-72, in the NCAA Season 92 men's basketball tournament on Thursday.

The diminutive guard, though, stood the tallest for the Generals and finished with a game-high 25 points built on four three-pointers to go with three rebounds and three assists.

Kinapos lang talaga kami," he added.

The Generals dropped to a 5-10 win-loss card. But with their playoff hopes dim, Munsayac said they just want to wrap up their futile campaign on a high note.

"Siguro wala na kaming chance. Gagawin na lang namin is iangat pa yung standings. Kung maka-top six kami much better than last year," he said.
