SAN Sebastian got its bearing going a little too late but Stags coach Egay Macaraya ended up a pleased man at the end of the team's NCAA Season 92 campaign.

Following a woeful 1-8 start, the Stags found their groove in the second round and won seven of their final nine games, the last was a convincing 85-58 win over Jose Rizal University on Thursday.

While the surge was not enough to earn the Stags a Final Four spot, Macaraya was glad his boys have finally found their identity and gained the winning attitude they needed in preparation for next season.

"Until now, yung identity ng Baste nung nag-umpisa magtatalo, hindi na makita. Booster lang sa amin na dalawa lang nakatalo sa second round. It's a good motivation for us sa incoming 93rd season," said Macaraya, whose team last made the playoffs in 2013.

"Hopefully, everybody is healthy and ma-push yung winning tradition," he added.
