RICCI Rivero had 33 points and 12 rebounds as College of Saint Benilde-La Salle Greenhills stunned Arellano, 90-69, in the 91st NCAA juniors basketball tournament on Friday at The Arena in San Juan.

The big victory by the Junior Blazers improved their record to 5-4 overall for fifth place at the end of the first round.

Guilmer Dela Torre had 23 points for the Braves, who suffered only their second loss in eight matches this season. They finish their first round campaign against undefeated reigning champion San Beda.

Meanwhile, Mapua solidified its hold of second place with a 97-63 win over Letran.

Swerwin Concepcion had 21 points, while Frank Yco added 15 for the Red Robins, who ended the first round with an 8-1 slate.

Standings: San Beda 8-0, Mapua 8-1, Arellano 6-2, Lyceum 6-3, CSB 5-4, EAC 4-5, San Sebastian 3-6, Letran 3-6, JRU 0-8, Perpetual Help 0-8.
