LSGH Greenies rout EAC to nab second straight win in NCAA juniors basketball

LA Salle Greenhills dominated Emilio Aguinaldo College, 82-59, on Friday in the NCAA Season 93 juniors basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

Inand Fornillos topscored for the Greenies with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Joel Cagulangan chipped in 14 markers, while Joshua David and Jacob Lao each scored 10 to secure LSGH's 2-0 win-loss card in the tournament.

"It was a collective effort for everyone. It took them a few minutes just to be comfortable in the game and I was just waiting for them to be comfortable, have poise and be in control," LSGH coach Marvin Bienvenida said. 

"We'll take it one game at a time. It doesn't matter if we win by two points or how many points. We'll just take it one game at a time, and take it day by day muna ang mindset namin," he added.

Meanwhile, University of Perpetual Help System slipped past the Jose Rizal University via a come-from-behind victory, 79-78.

The Altalettes were trailing behind the Light Bombers in the second, 34-28, and third quarter, 52-59, but managed to clinch the victory in the final minutes of the game.

Jielo Razon led Perpetual with 26 points and four rebounds. Errol Bongay also chipped in 21 points and eight boards to clinch their first win in the season with a 1-1 win-loss record.
