TWO years out of in the major college basketball leagues, Clint Doliguez looks to have found a home at San Beda.

The 22-year-old guard is now eligible to play for the Red Lions in the NCAA, ending a two-year wait following his transfer from Ateneo. He made his debut in the Filoil preseason tournament this week, scoring seven points in San Beda's victory over Lyceum.

Doliguez said he can't wait to play in the NCAA after undergoing a one-year residency with San Beda.

"Medyo excited kasi two years din 'yun. Since mahirap mag-adjust doon, pagdating ko dito, hindi na ganun kahirap in terms of studies at sa team," said Doliguez.

After playing high school ball for Hope Christian High School, Doliguez's UAAP career at Ateneo lasted just one season and he later transferred from Ateneo to San Beda prior to Season 79.

Spending time with San Beda's Team B, Doliguez said he let his basketball career run its course to know whether basketball is indeed for him.

"Nakaka-stress din," said Doliguez, when asked about the wait. After two years, nandito na ako uli."

Doliguez also said he is fortunate to have a coach like Boyet Fernandez, who he described as a great motivator.
