CJ Perez continues to show the way for Lyceum as they notched win No. 16 at the expense of Letran.

The Pirates moved within two wins of a sweep of the eliminations and Perez was voted by scribes for the third time as Chooks to Go NCAA Press Corps Player of the Week.

Perez won the vote over Mapua's Andoy Estrella, San Beda's JV Mocon, Jose Rizal's Jed Mendoza and Arellano's Kent Salado.

Perez scored 10 of his 24 points in the final seven minutes of the fourth quarter as the Pirates stopped the Knights’ repeated rallies to get to within two wins of an elimination-round sweep.

"Conscious siya pag nagkamali siya. He knows na nagkamali siya. One thing I like about him, and I always try to brag about my coaches in Alaska, he will never blame yung kasama," said Lyceum coach Topex Robinson.

"Hindi siya yung, pag hindi pinasahan magagalit. He knows that kumbaga, he knows (he needs) the support of everyone," he added.
