EMILIO Aguinaldo College coach Ariel Sison lamented his team’s poor free throw shooting that proved costly in a tight loss to San Sebastian on Friday.

The Generals lost by only two points against the Stags, 75-73, to fall to a 3-5 win-loss record in the NCAA Season 93.

The Generals had a 57.5 clip from the stripe as they converted only 23-of-40 freebies.

Sison also pointed out that point guard Francis Munsayac’s injury also flared up during the crucial minutes of the game.

Munsayac sat out for a few minutes during the fourth quarter after feeling pain in his ankle due to tripping in their training a few days before the game.

Munsayac was still able to deliver 16 points for the Generals despite his injury.

EAC’s top scorer Sidney Onwubere scored 22 but struggled from beyond the arc, hitting just 1-of-10 shots from the three-point area.

The Generals look to end their three-game slide when they face the Perpetual Atlas, also with a 3-5 win-loss card, on August 22 at The Arena in San Juan.

“Sana maipanalo namin yun. Hindi kami pwede ma-0-4. Kailangan yung must-win game na yun kunin namin. Kailangan namin ipanalo yung last game namin sa first round,” said the EAC coach.
