Arellano Chiefs coping with final challenge - both on court and in school

IT’S not only on the court that Arellano has a finals to deal with.

Apart from the NCAA men’s basketball title series against San Beda, the Chiefs are also in the middle of finals week in school.

And Chiefs coach Jerry Codiñera said he admires his wards for coping with the challenges in the life of a student-athlete and being able to juggle their responsibilities.

“You just have to manage everything, keep the balance,” he said. “Observe yung mga curfews, yung eskuwela nila. They have to do their requirements.”

Chiefs star John Pinto admitted that juggling responsibilities is not easy, but the Davao native assured he leaves no stone unturned in accomplishing them.

San Beda team manager Jude Roque said the Red Lions took their final exams a week ago.

The Chiefs take on another tough test against the Lions in Game Two on Wednesday when they seek to force a sudden-death in their best-of-three series.
