EMBONS Bonleon is set to move to Arellano after his unceremonious exit from University of Santo Tomas, a high-ranking official told Spin.ph on Thursday.

The source said Bonleon will make the transfer along with his younger brother Noel to the Chiefs in time to start their one-year residency.

That means the Bonleon brothers will become eligible to play for Season 94 of the NCAA next year.

Bonleon played for UST for two seasons but left the Tigers reportedly due to disagreements on how head coach Boy Sablan ran the team.

Following the split, Bonleon got a new lease of life in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup where he was signed by AMA and played major minutes for the Titans.

His brother Noel is actually making a return to the NCAA as he was also recruited by UST following a brief stint with Emilio Aguinaldo College.

Bonleon has yet to respond to messages by Spin.ph for confirmation.
