WITH key guards Kean Baclaan and Jcee Macalalag sidelined, Doy Dungo made sure La Salle wouldn’t falter in another crucial matchup.
The second-year guard stepped up in their hard-fought win over Far Eastern University with 17 points on 3-of-5 shooting from threes, proving himself ready for the moment when his number was called.

Dalawang key players namin ang wala, so kailangan talagang may mag-step up sa team para hindi maulit yung last game namin,” said Dungo, referring to their 93-82 loss to University of Santo Tomas last Saturday.

Dungo shared that his extra work in practice, along with the trust instilled in him by coach Topex Robinson, prepared him for this kind of moment.
“Yung mga practice namin at extra work, doon nakikita yung work ethic namin.
The 20-year old guard also leaned on Baclaan and Macalalag, who offered him guidance prior - and throughout - the contest.
Rivalry game up next for La Salle
As they face their age-old rival Ateneo next time out, the 6-foot-3 Kapampangan vowed to carry the same energy.

“Itutuloy-tuloy ko lang yung ginagawa ko. Kung ilang minutes akong ipapasok ni coach, ibibigay ko yung 101-percent ko,” he said.
