A TRIP to Japan awaits the members of the Letran Knights after competing a three-peat by winning the NCAA Season 98 seniors basketball tournament.
"Sinabi ko sa kanila [trip to] Japan. I also gave them a bonus galing sa Petron na matutuwa ang mga bata," said Alfrancis Chua, the San Miguel sports director who also is one of Letran's chief backers.

The outspoken executive is proud to see the Knights replicate the three consecutive NCAA crowns which a team led by Samboy Lim accomplished for the school from 1982 to 1984.
"Dati walang may gusto sa Letran. Ngayon, dumadami na. They see the blood of Arriba," said Chua, who serves as special assistant to the rector for sports development since 2018.
"They played their hearts out, walang napikon. I'm so proud of this batch."
Still, there are fears on the part of the Letran faithful that this might be San Miguel's last season backing the Knights.

Chua did share that the conglomerate is set to discuss plans for next season.
"Pagmi-meetingan muna namin kung anong plano namin for the next season. Pinag-aaralan pa namin," he said. "Di ko pa nga alam kung kailan yung susunod na season, so magme-meeting muna kami then after that, we'll plan kung ano yung maganda."
What Chua can assure, though, is that support will always be there from his group, with the blessing of SMC president and CEO Ramon S. Ang.
"Nakasuporta lang lagi si boss RSA," he said. "Di ko magagawa ito kung di dahil kay boss RSA dahil si boss RSA ang nagsabi na suportahan natin ang Letran."
"Lahat ng sinusuportahan ni boss RSA, nagtatagumpay."
