TOPEX Robinson is set to make his NCAA return, but this time around he'll be wearing green.
The former head coach of San Sebastian and Lyceum returns to the Grand Ol' League a two-time UAAP champion with La Salle as he's set to join College of St. Benilde as a consultant.
Veteran coach Gilbert Lao, one of Nash Racela's most trusted deputees, will also join the Benilde bench as the team's big man and defensive coach.
Robinson got his coaching break in the NCAA as he coached the Stags for three and a half seasons, before spending five years with the Pirates.
While he didn't win the big one in the NCAA, Robinson was relatively successful in the league. He had five semifinals appearances and three runner-up finishes, making him one of the most sought after young coaches in the scene.
It was in the UAAP with La Salle where he finally broke through, winning the UAAP Season 86 title in his first year with the Green Archers, before reclaiming that title two years later for his second one.

Who's the head coach on paper, though?
The two will link up with coach Charles Tiu who was recently named the new head coach of the Phoenix Fuel Masters in the PBA.
Tiu has repeatedly stated that he will still be running the show for the Blazers despite his new responsibilities with Phoenix, but with the PBA's restriction on active coaches taking dual head coaching roles - there's still no word as to who will be St. Benilde's official head coach on paper.

Nonetheless, there will be no shortage of basketball knowledge on the Benilde thinktank, with former Gilas coach Rajko Toroman also one of the team's consultants.
