ARELLANO fans can breathe a little easier now with regard to the status of T-Mc Ongotan after the star guard exited their win over San Beda early due to an ankle injury.
Ongotan collided with RC Calimag and held on to his right ankle with 2:42 left and was helped off the court by his teammates in their 56-55 win over the defending NCAA champions.
He finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and three assist despite not finishing the game.

The good news for the Chiefs is that coach Chico Manabat confirmed that Ongotan won't be missing time, stating that it's but a minor ankle sprain.
"Ok na ok si Batman," Manabat told Spin.ph in a message on Wednesday. "Parang tapilok lang at makakalaro naman siya next week."
It helps that the Chiefs won't be playing until October 22, or at least nine days when Ongotan injured his ankle, as they take on the Lyceum Pirates for their last cross-group game.
Ongotan has put up a campaign worthy of MVP considerations so far, leading the league in scoring with 19 points per game alongside 5.7 rebounds, three assists and 1.6 steals.
Arellano is currently sitting atop Group B with a 5-3 record, recently ending a three-game slide with that thrilling win over the Red Lions.
