KIM Aurin made some big plays down the stretch as University of Perpetual Help rolled to its third straight win in the NCAA Season 94 following a 74-68 victory over Mapua on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Arena.
The Altas nearly blew a double-digit lead but Aurin was there to the rescue, forcing a stop which resulted to a wide-open layup that gave Perpetual a 69-64 cushion with a minute and 35 seconds to go.
Aurin then sealed Mapua's fate with a strong drive to give the Altas a 71-64 lead with 1:14 left in the game.
The Altas won their third straight and surpassed their win total from last season. They improved to 5-2. The Cardinals dropped their fourth straight to fall to 2-6.
