WITH the race to the Final Four heating up, St. Benilde and San Sebastian clash on Thursday in the NCAA Season 95 seniors basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Both carrying 6-3 cards, the Blazers and the Golden Stags need every win they can in the second round starting in this 2 p.m. clash.
St. Benilde wants to prove that its early success is no fluke as it eyes a repeat of its 77-72 win over San Sebastian last July 30.
And coach TY Tang wants just that as the Blazers aim to prove that they can hang with the contenders behind Justin Gutang and Yankie Haruna after losing three of their last four games.
RK Ilagan and Allyn Bulanadi, meanwhile, are looking to sustain the groove of the Golden Stags which are riding off a four-game win streak.
Lyceum (7-3) and Perpetual (3-6), meanwhile, face off at 4 p.m., with the Pirates looking to replicate their 87-85 victory over the Altas last August 8.
Mike Nzeusseu and twins Jaycee and Jayvee Marcelino will lead Lyceum in this clash against the Ben Adamos-led Perpetual squad.
