SAN Sebastian edged La Salle Greenhills, 71-67, on Thursday night in the NCAA Season 93 juniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
Damie Cuntapay showed the way for the Staglets as he finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds to lead his team to their sixth win in 12 outings.
It was a stunning win for the Staglets as they beat LSGH, which was coming into the game with the share of the lead with Mapua in the team standings.
The Greenies dropped to 10-3.
Neil Villapando had 12 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks for the Staglets.
Joel Cagulangan had 16 points and six assists for the Greenies.
In the first game, John Barba had 21 points as Lyceum beat Perpetual Help, 74-72. The Junior Pirates are in fifth place with a 7-7 slate.
