SAN Sebastian made it three straight wins in the NCAA Season 95 seniors basketball tournament, plowing through Emilio Aguinaldo College, 86-65, Friday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The Golden Stags' 9-0 start seemed to be the precursor for the stampede that would ensue as they fired in all cylinders and shot on a terrific 47-percent clip.
Alvin Capobres topped San Sebastian with 20 points and seven rebounds, while Allyn Bulanadi chipped in 14 points, seven boards, and four assists.
RK Ilagan shook off a sprain in the second quarter and cramps in the third frame to wound up with 11 points on a 3-of-7 shooting from deep, on top of four assists and three boards.
Rommel Calahat also stepped up with 12 points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks.
"Nakarecover yung mga bata dahil siguro sa long vacation namin. Medyo nakapahinga sila," said coach Egay Macaraya, whose side improved to 5-3.
"Nung nanalo kami sa Letran, it was a good motivator kasi lahat na ng game, gusto na nila manalo eh."
EAC has now lost seven straight games to fall to 1-8 to end the first round.
Kriss Gurtiza topped the Generals with 16 points and seven rebounds, as JP Maguliano had 12 points and five boards in the loss.
