SAN Beda looks to stay within striking distance of early NCAA Season 94 leader Lyceum when the Red Lions tackles the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The Red Lions' schedule has been hampered with postponements due to inclement weather, but the sun has certainly been shining to them with the way they've played in the first two games.
Facing two tough teams in Perpetual and St. Benilde, the Red Lions had to dig down deep and coach Boyet Fernandez expects nothing less against the Generals in this match.
"They're a strong team. They have good players and as I've said, there's no easy game in this tournament," Fernandez said.
The Generals dropped their first three games but has the pieces to pull off a few surprises.
Foreign reinforcement Hamadou Laminou will be leading the Generals up front while guys like Jerome Garcia and Maui Cruz are also expected to contribute for coach Ariel Sison.
Fernandez, on the other hand, hopes to see the same production from his one-two punch of Robert Bolick and JV Mocon.
Meanwhile, Arellano gears up for win number three as it takes on Mapua at 2 p.m.
The Chiefs (2-1) are coming off a huge win over the San Sebastian Stags and will look to carry that same swagger entering their clash with the Cardinals (1-2)
In the first game, St. Benilde (1-2) takes on Jose Rizal University (0-3).
