SAN Beda and Lyceum renew their rivalry in a Tuesday tripleheader in the NCAA Season 95 seniors basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The Red Lions and the Pirates, the hottest teams in the season, clash at 4 p.m. in a rematch of the title rivals for the past two years.
This time, however, a lot of things have changed with both squads being led by young guns, making this the must-see duel late in the first round.
San Beda remains as the only unbeaten team in the NCAA and a big reason for that 6-0 start has been the emergence of Evan Nelle, James Canlas and Calvin Oftana to the starring role for coach Boyet Fernandez.
But Lyceum remains a formidable foe, riding the wave of its five-game win streak and at 6-1, the Topex Robinson-mentored squad are looking to snag the top spot behind twins Jaycee and Jayvee Marcelino.
Cameroonians Donald Tankoua and Mike Nzeusseu will face off anew as they'll be tasked to man the paint for San Beda and Lyceum, respectively.
Letran (5-2) aims for a bounce back win at 12 p.m. against the skidding San Sebastian (2-3), which will miss the services of coach Egay Macaraya, who is serving his one-game suspension.
Perpetual (2-5) also hopes that the sudden change, with interim coach Myk Saguiguit at the helm, will halt its skid when it battles cellar-dweller Emilio Aguinaldo College (1-6) at 2 p.m.
Perpetual Help said coach Frankie Lim is on leave.
