SAN Beda turned its final rematch into a cakewalk after running through the struggling Arellano University, 95-70, in the NCAA Season 93 on Friday at the Filoil Flying V Center.

The defending champions ended the first half on a 20-3 flurry behind the one-two punch of Robert Bolick and JV Mocon.

That run turned a precarious 28-27 lead to a commanding 48-30 edge by halftime, and the Red Lions never let up as they cruised to their seventh straight win.

The Red Lions then turned to their red-hot outside shooting in the final 20 minutes, with Bolick conspiring with fellow shooters AC Soberano and Clint Doliguez to finish off the hapless Chiefs.

"We're happy that we got this win to finish this round with just one loss," said San Beda head coach Boyet Fernandez.

"I really appreciate the way my players have been preparing. It has been really physical but it helped us a lot. We're happy we got this win. Robert is back and JV has been consistent," he added.
