PERPETUAL ended its two game slide in the NCAA Season 93 after coming away with a 68-59 victory over the slumping Arellano University on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Center.
Prince Eze stood tall above everyone else as he finished with 23 points and 21 rebounds as the Altas improved to a 3-4 win-loss card.
He also scored the dagger basket as he drilled a short stab with 34 seconds left to put away the Chiefs for good
"Talagang gusto naming manalo kasi siyempre dalawang sunod na talo, mahirap. Kailangan ipanalo ang game na ito para naman makabawi at mawala ang sakit ba," said Perpetual head coach Jimwell Gican.
"Yung game namin sa Letran, ang sakit, nightmare sa amin yun. Good thing nawala ang mga players and we executed well, especially sa offense," he added.
Eze's big game wouldn't have been possible had it not for the local pairing of GJ Ylagan and Gab Dagangon, who sparked the fourth quarter rally for the Altas.
The two combined for 15 points in the final period as the Altas took a 58-49 spread with more than four minutes to go in the period.
Ylagan finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and three assists while Dagangon added 10 markers and six rebounds for the Altas.
Kent Salado led the Chiefs with 14 points and five assists, while Richard Abanes finished with 13 markers before being ejected for two unsportsmanlike fouls in the endgame.
The loss however was the Chiefs' fourth straight as they dropped to 2-5, tied with St. Benilde at 8th and 9th place.
