EVEN after a win, Perpetual Help’s Jielo Razon and Tonton Peralta didn’t escape the watchful eyes of head coach Frankie Lim as they paid consequences to their mishaps in their match against Arellano.
Shortly after the Altas’ 57-45 win over the Chiefs, the team huddled around the pair as they ran suicide sprints in front of some supporters to owe up for some missed layups during the game.
“They missed lay-ups,” said Lim curtly. “You can’t miss easy lay-ups.”
Lim said that it’s been a habit of the team for the long time running, as they do it even training sessions to avoid hiccups like that in the game.
“We do it every day in practice. It’s a must. There’s no reason for you to miss an open lay-up. That’s why I made them run,” Lim said.
It’s in instances like this which only solidifies Lim’s reputation as a disciplinarian coach and one can’t really argue with the results.
With four NCAA titles under his cap, and the Altas knocking on a final four spot, the results speak for themselves.
